At just £120 per day, our rates for a
studio recording session are incredibly
competitive. We judge a day to be around
8 hours, from around 10am ‘til 6pm but
we’re very relaxed and flexible.
Professional mixing and mastering of
your recording costs an additional £40
per track and this can be for tracks
recorded either at JPMMUSIC or
elsewhere. For rappers or singers with
pre made backing tracks the rates are
£30 a track and this takes roughly 2
hours.
What you're paying for
In an 8 hour session we can usually
record 2 - 3 tracks for a 5 piece band.
This, of course, depends on the number
of ‘takes’ we have to make! As both a
skilled musician and a studio engineer
with 4 years experience I aim to get the
very best recording possible from your
band.
The recording is made with totally
up-to-date 24bit, 96khz equipment,
producing 24 simultaneous tracks of
recording and with some songs having up
to 80 audio tracks. You will have
unlimited use of the studio software and
hardware (see equipment page) to get
exactly the sound you want and you can
use as much of the extensive range of
'house equipment' as you wish, although
most bands choose to use their own
guitars, cymbals and snare.
You'll leave with a CD of this first
(rough) mix in your hand and, for an
additional £20 per track this can be
professionally mixed and mastered to
your specification. This takes about a
week to complete and is strongly
recommended.
In a 2 day session a 5 piece band can
expect to record around 4 - 6 tracks and
a 3 day session up to 9 tracks.
This is a perfect and affordable
opportunity for any band who wants to be
heard.
